 Happy Thanksgiving and a warm welcome back to all our returning members who went north to escape the heat and humidity of summer here at Sugarmill Woods.  We missed you all and are so very glad to welcome you all back home again.  This year, Flu Shots will again be available to our members through Maxim Health Services on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 in the Grille Room between the hours of 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
 Sugarmill Woods is planning a new membership campaign starting December 1 and ending on March 31, 2009 to secure 50 new memberships.  This campaign involves a reduction in the initiation fees for all membership categories and a reduction in monthly dues in all membership categories for all new members that are referred to the Club by you, our current members (i.e., sponsoring members).  Under the program, the Full Golf initiation fee is decreased from $2,500 to $1,000; Single Full Golf from $1,750 to $750; Social Golf from $1,250 to $500; Tenant/Non-Resident from $1,250 to $500; Social from $350 to $150; Oak Village Tennis from $350 to $150; Fitness Center from $350 to $150; and Dual Full Golf initiation fee from $7,500 to $3,500; Dual Single Full Golf from $6,000 to $2,700; Dual Social Golf from $2,500 to $1,250; Dual Tenant/No –Resident from $2,500 to $1,000.  The program also offers a 20% discount in dues for both the new member and the sponsoring member for a period of two years (some restrictions may apply).  Please refer to the Membership Drive FAQ’s in this newsletter for answers to some commonly asked questions.
 To receive the entire 20% discount in dues, the new joining member and sponsoring member must be of the same membership category to qualify for the discount (i.e. Social Membership to Social Membership, Full Golf Membership to Full Golf Membership, Dual Full Golf Membership to Dual Full Golf Membership, etc.).  However, the new joining member may enter the Club at a higher membership classification and both the new member and the sponsoring member would receive a 20% discount in their specific monthly dues of $184 for a period of two (2) years; but if for example, a Social Member sponsors a new Full Golf Member, the Social Member would receive the discounted 20% of the Social dues which is currently $6.60 while the new Full Golf Member would receive the $36.80 discount which is a 20% discount of the current Full Golf monthly dues.  If the new member resigns from the Club at any time during the two-year period, the sponsoring member would lose the 20% discount associated with their membership. However, if the new member downgraded their membership to a lesser membership category during the two-year period, the new member and the sponsoring member’s discount would then be reduced accordingly based on the new member’s downgraded monthly dues.  Should the sponsoring member resign or downgrade, the new member’s 20% discount would not be affected but the sponsoring member’s 20% discount would then be based on the dues associated with their new membership category.
 You may sponsor as many new members as you would like.  Sponsoring members will receive cumulative discounts up to 100% of their monthly dues.  Feel free to contact me at 382-3838 x20 with any questions you may have concerning this membership drive.  I would also be glad to contact any potential members you know of to explain the program to them and tell them about all what Sugarmill Woods Golf Club has to offer their members.

MEMBERSHIP DRIVE FAQ’s
What is the program?
This is a membership campaign to recruit new members to our Club.  This campaign offers a two-year, 20% discount in monthly dues to both the new member and their primary sponsor.  The dollar amount of the discount will remain the same for the entire discount period unless the classifications of the members involved changes.
How long will this membership drive be offered?
This membership campaign will end at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2009.  To qualify for the discounts, the written and signed application and payment of Initiation Fee must be in the hands of Mary Lee Tice, Membership Director, by this time.  The Primary Sponsor must be clearly noted on the membership application at the time the new member joins the Club for the sponsoring member to receive the discount.
How long does the dues discount last?
The dues discount to the new member will last for a two-year period regardless of the status of the sponsoring member.  Should the sponsoring member leave the Club during the two-year period, their discount does not transfer to any other member, including the new member and under no circumstances will cash be distributed as any part of this offer.  The discount to the sponsoring member will last through the entire two-year period as long as the new member remains a member.  Should the new member leave the Club during that two-year period of time, the 20% discount to the sponsoring member will terminate.  Should the new member downgrade their membership classification during this two-year period, the 20% discount to the sponsoring member will be adjusted to reflect a 20% discount based on the new member’s monthly dues within the new membership classification.
How many discounts can I receive?
Members may sponsor as many new members as they wish.  Sponsoring members can receive cumulative discounts up to but not exceeding 100% of their monthly dues.
Can I assign my discounts?
The sponsoring member can choose to have their discount applied to the new member thus providing the new member with a 40% dues reduction.  This must be done when the discount period begins and not at any other time during the two-year period.  The sponsoring member cannot transfer their discount to any other Club member at any time.   If the sponsoring member has transferred their portion of the discount to the new member and the new member resigns from the Club, the discount will terminate.
SUNTACC & Company (dba Sugarmill Woods Country Club) reserves the right to change, modify, or terminate this membership promotion at any time deemed appropriate and at its sole discretion.  This membership promotion applies to new memberships only and not any member upgrade.
