TRAVELLERS: Be advised that the speed limit on the two roads leading to World Woods, the Veterans Memorial Expressway and RT 98, vary by which county you are in and by roadway lanes (i.e. from 4 lane to 2 lane). These are patrolled by both the county Sheriff's Dept and the Florida Highway Patrol. The Veterans (also known as the Suncoast) varies from 70 mph to 55 mph and RT 98 is from 35 to 60. Be aware of where you are in relation to your speed.

From Downtown Tampa or Tampa Airport:
Take Veteran’s Expressway/Suncoast Parkway (589) North to the end (98). Go east (right) on 98 1/2 mile to World Woods entrance on the left. (Approximate drive time: 50 minutes)
From Tampa:
I-75 N to Exit 301, take 50W to Brooksville approx 6 miles; take 98 N for 12 miles. World Woods entrance on right hand side of 98 N. (Approx. drive time: 1 hour 20 minutes)
From Orlando:
Take the Florida Turnpike North to Exit 272. Take 50 W to Brooksville. Take 98 N for 12 miles. World Woods entrance is on the right hand side of 98 N. (Approximate drive time: 2 hours)
From Clearwater:
Take 19 N towards Homosassa. Take 98 S for 5 miles toward Brooksville. World Woods entrance is on the left hand side of 98 S. (Approximate drive time: 1 hour 20 minutes)
From Ocala:
Go South on Rt. 200 to Rt. 491 South. Continue on Rt. 491 South until you get to Rt. 98. Make a right turn and World Woods will be 3 miles on the right. (Approximate drive time: 1 hour 15 minutes)
