The North Suncoast Junior Golf Association's mission is to provide a fun activity for Florida junior golfers, which builds strong character, teaches good sportsmanship and offers quality instruction with an emphasis on the rules and etiquette of the game of golf. The program's base of operations is the internationally recognized World Woods Golf Club near Tampa, Florida. At present, the program provides top-level instruction and personal guidance to approximately 150 Tampa area junior golfers ranging from ages 8 to 18.
To deliver a premier junior program, the association is directed by a committee of five PGA golf professionals, represented by the professional golf staffs at World Woods, Sugarmill Woods, and Southern Woods. Additionally, instruction and guidance is provided by assistant golf professionals as well as many devoted volunteers resulting in a quality association where care and nurturing is given on an individual basis. The program includes weekly tournaments held on exceptional golf courses. In conjunction with these benefits, the program also provides rules seminars, discount summer golf rates, and golf scholarships. As a whole, the program represents an excellent opportunity for young aspiring golfers to build both their golf skills and their characters.
